Spot on, William. And, from an aesthetic standpoint, have always been super sceptical about the ‘my followers’ social media descriptor. Found the cow photo curiously mooving.

May I offer Mrs. Dalloway, the hostess who herself was made into a work of art? "Mrs. Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself."

I'm sorely deficient in my reading of Woolf; but according to Wikipedia, Mrs. Dalloway says her parties are a "gift" so that would certainly fit in with what I'm talking about.

Certainly. And because the character herself has a touch of the artist about her, one foiled by her politician husband and attendant expectations as his wife. To host is to make, for Clarissa.
