Personal reflections on two groundbreaking albums
Your story reminds me of the movie "High Fidelity" (2000). It has a great, funny scene about being a music snob working at a record store where one of the characters questions another's music preference by screaming "BULLSHIT!" and the third character jumps in asking, "how can it be bullshit to state a preference?"
It's a great movie, and obviously highlights the passion some people feel for their favorite music, but it's really about growing up:
