Have you ever seen the film In Order Not to Be Here (2002)? I watched it last night and thought you might find it interesting. It'd be a cool data point for the Nostalgia Triangle. People are talking about it now as a proto liminal horror type thing. It partially hits the Curious Nostalgia category, but at the time it was clearly about suburban placelessness and surveillance. Interesting blend of Familiar and Frightening. Fair warning, it's an artsy thing, no dialogue, but it's only 30 min.
Hmm. I haven't seen it. I'll try to watch it because it sounds like it would be useful for my research into nostalgia and surrealism, and film is an area I'm always out of the loop on. Thanks for the recommendation!
Congrats on the five years!
Thanks!
